“Please update me how many times in the past 12 months that this school bus has been cancelled, or it has had a near miss and a different bus has had to be cancelled due to the driver taking this school bus instead.
Also, the dedicated school bus 441 or 440 that runs in the mornings could actually have its route redirected around the "Conclusion Street loop" (the loop off Warspite Ave, around Conclusion St and back to Warspite Ave) then on to Aotea College. We saw this school bus drive passed on Warspite this morning, with a handful of students. This Waitangarua school bus is likely never full in the mornings. Frankly there is no valid reason this 441 bus cannot also cater for the dozen Ascot Park students that are being let down regularly due to the fact this Public bus 220 Ascot Park with a school extension isn't financially viable to upgrade to a "dedicated school bus service".
Would you please consider reevaluating these two morning routes and find a permanent solution to ensure that no students are left standing - with NO digital displays here in Porirua suburbs to tell them their bus is canceled either! I am happy to work closely with whomever, including the school and local community group to see a final and satisfactory result for these students - all of whom are from low socioeconomic backgrounds and many do not have parents who have English as their first language so likely would not lay complaints or log concerns themselves.”
