Choose your own summer adventure – scavenger hunt in Queen Elizabeth Park

Bring the whānau to explore Queen Elizabeth Park with a free, self-guided scavenger hunt you can complete anytime this summer!

Pick up your question sheet from the Ramaroa Centre and follow clues through the park. Use your phone to check the answers once you’re done.

You’ll discover regenerating bush and wetlands, learn about the US Marine camp from the 1940s, and spot native plants and birds. If you have a bike, you can roam even further to complete more questions around the park!

Work together to uncover clues and discover the stories of this special place. Pack a picnic and enjoy a peaceful afternoon at the beach.

Get the whānau involved in Summer Events

Discover the incredible places right on your doorstep. For 25 years, Greater Wellington has been hosting recreational events in regional parks to help people connect with nature, get active outdoors, and enjoy time together.

Queen Elizabeth Park is an important site for conservation. Greater Wellington’s work here protects freshwater ecosystems, restores natives, preserves historic places, and helps build resilience to climate change. Our partners and volunteers play a key role in making this park a special place for everyone.
